We had a fire truck get rear ended by a delivery truck, and they replaced certain parts of it that were
damaged. I managed to get a hold of the parts they were going to throw out; namely a large section of aluminum diamond
plate. My sawz-all cuts through it easily, and while I can't weld it, I can shape it and bolt pieces together. So I cut,
shaped, and bolted together what you see here. The pieces are held together with purse straps and the underside has shoe
insoles glued on. They actually provide a very comfortable fit when attached to metal. Straps hold the armor to the
underarm and upper arm, and a wide belt completes it. This armor piece can be worn on either shoulder. I've shown the
armor with a large, oversized belt for stomach protection.
