I thought a dress that would show a lot of leg would be cool, so I came up with the half dress idea. The
leather is from a trenchcoat that has been bolted to a belt.
We had a fire truck get rear ended by a delivery truck, and they replaced certain parts of it that were damaged. I managed
to get a hold of the parts they were going to throw out; namely a large section of aluminum diamond plate. My sawz-all
cuts through it easily, and while I can't weld it, I can shape it and bolt pieces together. So I cut numerous rectangle
pieces and bolted them to the trim of the dress with spikes. Along the bottom trim is a half circle strip of diamond plate,
again mounted with spikes. This keeps the dress in it's half circle shape. It can be worn to cover the right or left leg.
